How does shipping work?

We will ship across Canada for free (except Quèbec) on orders over $50. Sorry we can’t mail hazardous goods and oversized items (ex; skis, fuel, bear spray, running chariots). You can pick up these items in store.  Or email to make special shipping arrangements.

How long until I get my new items?

We will ship within 2 business days. Canada Post reports shipping in Yukon within 6 business days. Outside of Yukon is from 6 (Edmonton) to 13 (St John’s) business days. Covid-19 is of course causing shipping difficulties.

Where is my order and how do I track it?

As soon as your order is out for shipping we’ll send you an email with the Canada Post tracking number so that you can follow its progress!

Can I return my purchase?

You can return unused, unopened, clean items with their original labels and tags- in other words, items in perfect condition- within 30 days of purchase. For safety and hygiene reasons the following items cannot be returned or exchanged: swimsuits, underwear and bras (base layers like long johns are not underwear), bear safety items, fuel, all climbing gear, helmets, GPS and other locator products, all food items, sunscreen & lip balm, all fluids, waxes and sprays.

Can I buy or use a gift card online?

Yes! We have E-Gift cards for use online only and In-store Gift Cards for use in our store at 309 Main St in Whitehorse only. Just click on this link: I need a Gift Card!

I live in the States. Can I buy items from your online store?

So sorry but our brands will not allow us to ship outside of Canada. You can however, place orders then come for in-store pick up. We recommend this for visitors like our Arctic Ultra racers who must be sure to have certain gear. Please notify if you will not arrive at the store within 1 week of placing your order. 

Why can’t I order to an address in Québec?

So sorry but our vendor agreements prevent us. Please come visit us in person!

What if my item is damaged when I receive it?

Please take a photo of the tracking number and the damage to the packaging (if possible) -and of the item- and email it to

What payment methods does Coast Mountain accept?

We can accept Visa & Mastercard credit cards and Visa Debit cards online. In our store we can accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Debit cards and, believe it or not, cash.

Why was my order cancelled?

What if I find an item for less?

We will price match any Canadian retailer. If you find the item listed for less at the time of purchase we will be happy to match it.
