Every year for almost 30 years we have run Share the Warmth. Each year we collect about 150 jackets for adults and children. The fine folk at Northern Vision's Best Western Gold Rush Inn launder all the coats, then we bring them to the Yukon Anti-Poverty Coalition.  YAPC distributes them carefully to those in need. CKRW/The RUSH helps us to publicize the event ... A note to everyone: their ads work!  Our stretch goal last year was 200 jackets. Our customers blew us away with 243 coat donations!  We hope to beat our record this year!

In return for a coat donation, we provide a certificate for $50 off the purchase of new winter outerwear worth $250 or more. We run this event every fall and it has become integral to our support agencies to ensure that adults and children who need warm coats get them.
